Me-ling is a Mama dog who came to us from a high kill shelter in California. She was a very good Mama but she certainly has a heart of gold. Now she’s looking for a home of her very own! She’s a sweet little girl with eyes full oflove. Will you be that furever home she’s been waiting for?

Me-ling does well with other dogs and cats, given a proper introduction.

Me-ling is up to date on vaccines, microchipped and spayed.

If you’d like to know more about becoming Me-ling’s new forever family, please contact Pammy’s 2nd Chance Rescue. Please use the form located below.

Read on for some tidbits about the very interesting Chihuahua.

Chihuahuas are the oldest breed on the American continent and the smallest breed in the world. Native to Mexico, where it received its name from the Mexican State of Chihuahua. They live about 15 years or longer and are the smallest recognized breed of dog in the world.

The Chihuahua is the only “natural” toy breed, that is, the only small dog NOT bred down from larger versions of the same breed.

They are good little dogs for apartment life. The Chihuahua likes warm weather and dislikes the cold. They need space just like any other dog. Because they are small does not mean they can be kept in a very small area.

Although it is tempting to carry these dainty creatures about, these are active little dogs that need a daily walk. Courageous, extremely lively, proud and adventurous, they enjoy affection. The Chihuahua is a good companion dog.
